Asia: el poder blando funciona

Mensaje de Colin Powell para los halcones de EEUU y de Oriente Medio. El poder blando (los militares salvando vidas) puede ser más efectivo que el poder duro (los militares matando gente).

"We'd be doing it regardless of religion. But I think it does give the Muslim world and the rest of the world an opportunity to see American generosity, American values in action."

"America is not an anti-Islam, anti-Muslim nation. America is a diverse society where we respect all religions. And I hope that as a result of our efforts, as a result of our helicopter pilots being seen by the citizens of Indonesia helping them, that value system of ours will be reinforced."

Colin Powell, en una conferencia de prensa en su visita a Indonesia.

Edmonton dominated the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night and the 4-0 margin in Game 6 makes it hard to imagine the Oilers not hoisting hockey's Holy Grail above their heads in less than 48 hours. And it would not come as any shock to see defenseman Chris Pronger, who had another 31-minute night, take the honors for the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP.
